"PhD meets Industry" event on the EURON Annual MeetingFor this year's Annual Meeting of EURON (Prague, March 28th) we make an extra effort to close the gap between, on the one hand, the European robotics industry which is looking to hire people with a high-level background in robotics, and, on the other hand, PhD students looking for challenging job opportunities in such companies. This initiative is, however, even broader than the catchy name suggests: we allow everyone looking for a job to participate, and we also invite academic research institutes that are looking for candidates for their post doc positions to participate. The procedure is very simple. At registration, you can ask to receive one or more colored stickers to put on your badge: one color for companies looking to talk to candidates; another color for candidates looking for such industry jobs; and another set of colors for academic people searching for postdocs, and for PhDs interested in getting such a postdoc. Ph.D. students and young researchers who would like to share their research achievements are encouraged to present their work on posters. Representatives of the European robotics industry are also welcome to display open jobs positions presentation on the posters as well. The Annual Meeting provides a lot of opportunities to meet informally, so please feel free to talk to people with the colors you are looking for.
